Cinacalcet 30mg

Cinacalcet is a calcimimetic medication used to treat conditions associated with abnormal calcium levels in the blood. It works by decreasing parathyroid hormone (PTH) secretion, which in turn reduces calcium levels in the blood.

Uses of Cinacalcet 30mg:

1. Secondary Hyperparathyroidism:

   • Commonly prescribed in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) on dialysis to lower PTH levels and manage calcium and phosphorus levels in the blood.

2. Primary Hyperparathyroidism:

   • Used in patients with primary hyperparathyroidism who cannot undergo surgery to remove the parathyroid glands.

3. Parathyroid Carcinoma:

   • Helps control elevated calcium levels caused by this rare type of cancer.
