3. Gastrointestinal Bleeding:

   • Used to control bleeding from esophageal varices by reducing splanchnic blood flow and portal pressure.

4. Postoperative Complications:

   • Prevents complications like fistulas and leakage in patients undergoing pancreatic or gastrointestinal surgeries.

5. Insulinomas:

   • Manages symptoms of hypoglycemia caused by insulin-secreting tumors.
