Bonababe is a gentle, multi-action pediatric syrup specifically formulated to provide relief from common childhood discomforts. It combines a mild pain reliever and fever reducer with a soothing antihistamine. This combination is designed to help children rest and recover by addressing the physical symptoms that cause irritability and restlessness during minor illnesses.
This product is primarily indicated for pediatric symptomatic relief. It is used for:
Fever Reduction: Lowering high temperatures associated with the common cold, flu, or post-vaccination reactions.
Pain Relief: Easing discomfort from teething, earaches, headaches, or minor sore throats.
Allergic Symptoms: Relieving runny noses, sneezing, and watery eyes.
Teething Irritability: Soothing the restlessness and mild pain often experienced when new teeth are emerging.
Mild Sedation: Helping a child who is distressed by illness to sleep more comfortably.
Paracetamol: A trusted analgesic and antipyretic that acts on the central nervous system to reduce pain and fever.
Chlorphenamine Maleate: A mild antihistamine that reduces allergy symptoms and provides a slight calming effect to help a restless child sleep.
3–12 Months: $2.5\text{ml}$ (half a teaspoon) 3 times daily.
1–5 Years: $5\text{ml}$ (one teaspoon) 3 times daily.
6–12 Years: $10\text{ml}$ (two teaspoons) 3 times daily.
Note: Always space doses at least 4 to 6 hours apart. Do not exceed 4 doses in any 24-hour period.
Shake Well: Always shake the bottle thoroughly before each use to ensure the active ingredients are evenly distributed.
Measurement: Use the measuring cup or syringe provided with the bottle for an accurate dose. Do not use a standard kitchen spoon.
Timing: Can be given with or without food. If the child has a sensitive stomach, giving it after a small feed may help.
No Double-Dosing: Do not give Bonababe if you are already giving your child another Paracetamol-containing product (like Calpol or Panadol syrup).
Drowsiness: The antihistamine in Bonababe may cause drowsiness. This is normal and often helpful for recovery, but the child should be supervised.
Duration: If the fever lasts more than 3 days or the pain persists, consult our pharmacist or a pediatrician.
Allergies: Do not use if your child has a known allergy to Paracetamol or antihistamines.
Indicated For: Infants from 3 months old up to children aged 12.
Newborns: For infants under 3 months, please consult a doctor before administration.
