Cosopt is a potent combination ophthalmic solution used to manage internal eye pressure. It combines two different medications that work in harmony: Dorzolamide (a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor) and Timolol (a beta-blocker). This medication is indicated for the treatment of increased intraocular pressure (IOP). It is primarily prescribed for:

Standard Dose: Usually one (1) drop in the affected eye(s) twice daily (morning and evening).

Missed Dose: If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one. Do not double-dose.

Contact Lenses: If you use the multidose bottle (containing Benzalkonium chloride), remove contact lenses before use and wait at least 15 minutes before putting them back in. The preservative can discolor soft lenses.
