Full Marks Head Lice Solution is a fast-acting, pesticide-free physical head lice treatment. Each 200ml bottle contains Cyclomethicone and Isopropyl Myristate, formulated as a low-odor liquid designed to eliminate head lice and help loosen their eggs (nits).
Applied topically to dry hair, adults and children aged 2 years and older use it for the quick treatment of head lice infestations without the use of chemical insecticides.
Unlike traditional chemical head lice treatments that poison lice (and to which lice can develop immunity), Full Marks works through a physical mode of action:
Dehydrates & Dissolves Lice Shells: Cyclomethicone and isopropyl myristate coat the lice, dissolving their protective outer wax layer and causing rapid dehydration and death within 5 minutes.
No Chemical Resistance: Because it destroys lice physically rather than chemically, lice cannot build resistance to the solution.
Loosens Nits (Eggs): Helps break the bond adhering lice eggs to the hair shaft, making them easier to comb out using the included fine-toothed removal comb.
🚨 Flammability Warning: Keep treated hair away from naked flames, lit cigarettes, gas stoves, or intense heat sources (including hair dryers) during treatment.
Fabrics (clothing, towels, bedding) coming into contact with this liquid can burn more easily.
🚨 Slipping & Staining Notice: The liquid solution is oily and can cause hard floors or bath surfaces to become very slippery.
Protect shoulders and clothing with a towel during application, as the solution can stain fabrics.
External Hair Use Only: Avoid getting the solution into the eyes, ears, or mouth. If accidental eye contact occurs, flush immediately with plenty of clean, warm water.
Age Limit: Suitable for adults and children aged 2 years and older. For infants under 2 years, consult a pediatrician.
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Ensure the hair is completely dry.
Separate hair into sections and apply the solution directly to the hair, starting close to the roots.
Massage thoroughly until all hair and the scalp are fully covered.
Leave on the hair for 5 minutes.
Divide hair into small 1-inch sections.
Insert the teeth of the included fine-toothed removal comb right at the scalp and draw it smoothly through to the tips of the hair.
Wipe the comb on a tissue after every stroke to remove dead lice and eggs.
Wash out the solution using a standard non-conditioning shampoo (you may need to shampoo twice to completely remove the oily liquid).
Conditioner is not necessary.
Repeat the treatment process 7 to 10 days after the initial application to eliminate any newly hatched lice that may have survived as unhatched eggs during the first treatment.
Full Marks Solution is well-tolerated, but minor reactions can include:
Mild scalp irritation, redness, or itching.
Flaking or dry scalp following rinsing.

Do I need to treat the whole family?
You should check all household members for live head lice on the same day using a detection comb. Only treat individuals who have active, live head lice present to prevent unnecessary re-treatment.
