Lyclear Head Lice Lotion is an over-the-counter topical head lice and nit treatment. Each 100ml bottle is formulated with Dimethicone (and mineral oil / penetrol complexes), providing a pesticide-free chemical action.
Applied topically to the hair and scalp, adults and children aged 12 months and older use it for the fast-acting elimination and eradication of head lice (Pediculus humanus capitis) and their eggs (nits).
Lyclear Lotion utilizes a physical dual-action mechanism rather than neurotoxic pesticides:
Physical Suffocation & Dehydration: Penetrates the respiratory system (spiracles) of head lice and nits, suffocating them and causing rapid dehydration.
No Pesticide Resistance: Because it kills lice physically rather than chemically, head lice cannot develop biological resistance or immunity to the treatment.
Effective on Nits: Helps break down the protective coating of lice eggs, preventing unhatched nits from surviving.

Keep hair away from open flames, lit cigarettes, gas stoves, candles, and intense heat sources (including hair dryers) during treatment and until hair is rinsed and completely dry.
🚨 Eyes & Mucous Membranes: Apply ONLY to head hair and scalp.
Avoid contact with the eyes, inside nostrils, or mouth.
If product enters the eyes, rinse thoroughly and immediately with clean water.
🚨 Surface Warning: Spilled lotion or runoff during washing can make bath tubs, shower tiles, and hard flooring extremely slippery. Clean any spills immediately.
Check Dry Hair: Inspect dry hair strand by strand for lice and nits in good light.
Apply to Dry Hair: Apply a generous amount of Lyclear Lotion evenly onto dry hair. Ensure the scalp and all hair from roots to tips are completely saturated.
Massage In: Massage well, paying extra attention to the neck line and behind the ears.
Leave On: Leave the lotion on the hair for 15 minutes (or as specified on the package duration). Do NOT exceed recommended application time.
Wash & Rinse: Apply regular shampoo directly onto the hair without wetting it first, lather thoroughly, and then rinse with warm water. Repeat washing if necessary.
Comb Out Nits: Use a fine-toothed nit comb on damp hair to comb out dead lice and unhatched eggs/nits strand by strand.
Re-check hair 7 days after initial treatment. If live lice or new nits are detected, repeat the full application process.
Lyclear Head Lice Lotion is non-toxic and generally well-tolerated, but mild skin reactions can occasionally include:
Mild scalp irritation, itching, or redness.
Mild flaking or dry skin on the scalp.
Do I need to treat the whole family?
You should check all household members for head lice on the same day. However, only treat family members who currently have active, live head lice or visible nits to prevent unnecessary treatment.
