Cyclitis and Iritis: Specialized inflammatory conditions of the internal eye structures.
Dexamethasone (0.1%): A synthetic glucocorticoid that provides rapid and intense relief from ocular inflammation.
Initial Dose: In severe cases, one drop every 30 to 60 minutes until a response is observed.
Maintenance Dose: As inflammation subsides, the frequency is typically reduced to one drop every 4 to 6 hours, then eventually once or twice daily.

Preparation: Wash your hands. Shake the bottle well before use, as Maxidex is a suspension and the medicine settles at the bottom.

Intraocular Pressure (IOP): Prolonged use of steroid drops can increase the pressure inside your eye (glaucoma) or lead to cataracts. If using for more than 10 days, your eye pressure should be monitored by a professional.
Thinning of the Cornea: In diseases causing thinning of the cornea or sclera, steroids have been known to cause perforation.
Storage: Store at room temperature ($15°C$ to $25°C$). Do not freeze. Discard the bottle 4 weeks after opening.
