1.Attach a fresh needle and check the liquid:Preparation.
Wash your hands with soap. Peel the paper tab off a new needle, screw it straight onto the pen, and pull off both needle caps. Look into the pen window—the liquid must be completely clear and colorless like water.
2.Test a brand-new pen before your first shot:Flow Check.
If using the pen for the very first time, turn the dose dial to the flow check symbol (two small dots). Hold the pen with the needle pointing up and press the injection button. A drop of liquid must appear at the tip.

Gently pinch a fold of skin on your stomach or thigh. Push the needle straight in at a 90-degree angle. Press and hold down the dose button completely. Watch the counter roll back to 0, then count slowly to 6 before pulling the needle out of your skin to get the full dose.
You must inject Ozempic once a week, on the exact same day each week, at any time of the day. You can take it with or without a meal. If you ever need to change your weekly day, just make sure there are at least 3 days (72 hours) between your old day and your new day.

What should I do if I forget to take my injection on my regular day?
