For Sedation: A single dose taken at bedtime.
Note: Use the measuring spoon provided to ensure accurate dosing.
Measuring: Always use a proper medicine spoon or oral syringe; a household teaspoon is not an accurate way to measure 5ml.
Timing: If using for allergies or sedation, it is usually taken at night because it causes significant drowsiness.
Duration: This should only be used for short periods. If symptoms persist for more than a few days, consult our pharmacist.
AGE RESTRICTION: Do not give Phenergan to children under 2 years old. It can cause dangerously slow breathing in very young children.
Drowsiness: This syrup causes strong drowsiness. Do not drive, operate machinery, or ride a bike after taking it.
Alcohol: Avoid alcohol entirely while taking Phenergan, as it will dangerously increase the sedative effect.
Sun Sensitivity: Promethazine can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. Avoid direct sun exposure or use high-SPF sunscreen.
