Piriteze Allergy is a prescription and over-the-counter antihistamine medication. Each film-coated tablet contains 10mg of Cetirizine Hydrochloride.

Cetirizine is a second-generation, long-acting selective H1-receptor antagonist:

Drowsiness Alert: While cetirizine is a second-generation antihistamine designed to cause less drowsiness than older antihistamines, it can still cause mild to moderate drowsiness in some individuals. Avoid driving, operating heavy machinery, or performing dangerous tasks until you know how the medication affects you.
Renal Caution: If you have moderate to severe kidney disease or kidney failure, your body clears cetirizine much more slowly. A lower dose (typically 5mg or every 48 hours) or alternative medication is required. Consult your doctor before use.
Central Nervous System Depressant: Avoid consuming alcohol while taking Piriteze, as it can increase drowsiness and decrease mental alertness.
Standard Adult & Adolescent Dosing (Aged 12 Years & Older):
Take one 10mg tablet once daily.
Pediatric Dosing (Aged 6 to 11 Years):
Take half a 10mg tablet (5mg) twice daily, or one 5mg dose once daily as directed by a pharmacist or doctor.
How to Take:
Swallow the tablet whole with water.
Can be taken with or without food.
Piriteze is generally well-tolerated. Common side effects may include:
Mild drowsiness or fatigue.
Dry mouth, headache, or mild dizziness.
Mild abdominal discomfort or nausea.
Pharyngitis or sore throat (in children).
Store at room temperature below 25°C or 30°C in a dry place away from light and moisture.
