Terlipressin Injection (T-Press)

Uses of Terlipressin Injection (T-Press):

1. Bleeding Esophageal Varices (BEV):

   • Used to control bleeding from dilated veins in the esophagus, commonly seen in patients with portal hypertension due to liver cirrhosis.

2. Hepatorenal Syndrome (HRS):

   • Treats type 1 HRS, a condition characterized by rapid kidney failure in individuals with severe liver disease.

3. Postoperative Hypotension:

   • Occasionally used in specific cases of low blood pressure unresponsive to other treatments.
