Each 5ml bottle contains Dorzolamide Hydrochloride (2% w/v), a potent carbonic anhydrase inhibitor designed to reduce fluid production inside the eye and protect against progressive vision loss.
This prescribed eye treatment is recommended for the management and reduction of high pressure inside the eye associated with:
Open-Angle Glaucoma: Lowering intraocular pressure to prevent damage to the optic nerve.

The active ingredient is Dorzolamide Hydrochloride:
Carbonic Anhydrase Inhibition: It targets and blocks the carbonic anhydrase enzyme located in the ciliary processes of the eye.
Reduced Fluid Secretion: By inhibiting this enzyme, it slows down the rate of aqueous humor (fluid) production within the eye, successfully decreasing internal eye pressure.

Standard Adult Dosing:
Instill one drop in the affected eye(s) three times daily as prescribed by your ophthalmologist.
How to Apply:
Wash your hands thoroughly before handling the bottle.
Tilt your head back and pull your lower eyelid down to form a small pocket.
Hold the inverted bottle above your eye and squeeze 1 drop into the pocket.
Close your eyes gently and press lightly on the inner corner of your eye (near the nose) for 1 to 2 minutes to prevent the liquid from draining into your tear duct.
Replace and tighten the cap immediately.
While essential for managing eye pressure, potential side effects can include:
Bitter or unusual taste in the mouth immediately after instillation
Mild burning, stinging, or temporary blurred vision right after applying drops
Eye redness, dry eyes, superficial punctate keratitis, or eyelid itching
Store below 25°C or 30°C in a dry place, protected from direct light. Do not freeze.
Discard the bottle 4 weeks after first opening to prevent bacterial contamination.
Keep strictly out of reach and sight of children.
This is a known, harmless side effect caused by the eye drops draining through the tear ducts into the nasopharyngeal passage. Pressing gently on the inner corner of your eye for a minute after application can significantly minimize or eliminate this taste.
