MONTIGET 10mg is a prescription medicine used to manage asthma and relieve severe allergies. Each tablet contains 10mg of Montelukast (as Montelukast Sodium).
It is prescribed by doctors for adults and teenagers (aged 15 and older) for the daily prevention of asthma symptoms and to relieve seasonal or year-round allergic rhinitis (such as hay fever, sneezing, nasal congestion, and a runny nose).
MONTIGET is a leukotriene receptor antagonist:
Blocks Allergic Inflammatory Chemicals: It blocks natural chemicals in your body called leukotrienes.
Opens Airways: Leukotrienes cause swelling, narrowing, and excess mucus in your lungs and nasal passages during allergy or asthma triggers. By blocking them, MONTIGET keeps your airways open, reduces swelling, and makes breathing easier.
🚨 Emergency Warning: MONTIGET is a daily preventive medicine and will NOT stop a sudden asthma attack.
Always keep your fast-acting rescue inhaler (such as Salbutamol/Ventolin) with you for sudden breathing difficulties.
🚨 Mental Health Notice: Medicines containing Montelukast can occasionally cause changes in mood, sleep, or behavior.
Tell your doctor right away if you notice unusual anxiety, agitation, severe restlessness, vivid or bad dreams, depression, or thoughts of self-harm.
Take Once Daily: Take one 10mg tablet once a day, usually in the evening.
Swallow Whole: Swallow the tablet with a drink of water. You can take it with or without food.
Take It Consistently: Continue taking MONTIGET every day, even when you feel well and have no active symptoms.
Skip the missed tablet and take your next dose at your regular time the following evening. Never take two tablets at once to make up for a missed dose.
