After Bowel Movements Only: Always apply this ointment immediately after you pass a stool, never right before. Make sure you gently clean and dry the area completely first.
Two Ways to Use It: You can rub this cream gently onto the skin on the outside of your anus, or you can use the long plastic nozzle included in the box to apply it safely inside your rectum.

Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water. Clean the skin around your anus gently with warm water and a soft cloth, then pat it completely dry.
